Harmonographic Puffer Fish

My inventor/creative/genius friend brought over one of his latest projects – his interpretation of an old Harmonograph. We’ve been talking for months about using a laser pointer and taking some long exposure photos with it. Finally made it happen on Monday. While I did set up my big boy camera I actually found it easier to lay my iPhone directly on the Harmonograph & let SlowShutterCam in bulb mode do the trick. This is just one of many photos I made, with the blurry part coming from sticking a frensel lens from an old rear projection TV just above the laser pointer while it spun around.
